Toyota chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada today said over 80 per cent of its Camry sales in the country are the hybrid version of the premium sedan. "Globally, India is the ninth country to manufacture our hybrid vehicles. After the launch of the all new Camry hybrid in May 2015, its popularity has only grown further. At present, the Camry Hybrid constitutes more than 80 per cent of the total Camry sales in India," Uchiyamada said.

Toyota, the Japanese automaker is reportedly planning to equip the Camry sedan with a smaller capacity four-cylinder turbocharged engine. This engine is likely to be a 2.0-litre unit that also powers the new Lexus IS 200t, which was unveiled earlier this year. The new turbocharged engine will replace the existing 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor today launched a facelift in the form of 2015 Camry Hybrid and Petrol in India at an introductory price of INR 28.80 lakh and INR 31.92 lakh respectively (Both ex-showroom Delhi). First unveiled at the 2014 Moscow International Motor Show, this latest version of Camry facelift comes with stylish cosmetic updates and improved features. Also it packs the same 2.5-litre IC engine, while the Hybrid has an electric motor paired to the engine. Hybrid vehicle still being in a nascent stage in India, there is not much of a competition for the enhanced 2015 Camry Hybrid, but as for the regular Petrol variant, the new Camry facelift will go up against Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Superb and Audi A3.

Toyota Motors, the Japanese automaker today launched the 2015 Camry Hybrid facelift in India priced of INR 31.92 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The face lifted Hybrid sedan comes with a hoard lot of cosmetic updates, given to both interior and exterior styling. Although on mechanical front the car remains unchanged. Toyota also says customers can expect an INR 70,000 rebate as incentive on the New Camry Hybrid. The company has also launched the petrol variant of 2015 Camry sedan priced at INR 28.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and in India it will go up against the likes of Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Superb and Audi A3.

Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota is gearing up to launch the new 2015 Camry facelift in India on 30th April 2015. The Camry has been among the most appreciated premium executive sedans in India and the current outgoing model has been in the market since 2012. While on the mechanical front there will be hardly any changes compared to the current model, on the exterior front, the car will come with some extensive cosmetic upgrades. Also similar to the previous models the 2015 Toyota Camry will be offered both in petrol and hybrid options. Though Toyota is yet to put a definite price tag on the 2015 Camry we expect the car to be price in the range of INR 28 – 33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
