Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government at the Centre had given a tremendous boost to financial inclusion. "Just 4-5 years ago we were living in a system where 48 per cent of our population, that is, nearly 600 million people had never seen a bank in their life and were not connected to the banking system. Today, they have bank accounts," he said while addressing the World Congress of Saving and Retail Bank (WCSRB).
