The German automaker, Volkswagen today launched the 2015 Vento facelift in the Indian car market. Available in three trim levels- Trendline, Comfortline and Highline, the new Vento is priced in the range of INR 7.85 lakh to INR 11.87 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

German auto major – Volkswagen is all set to launch the 2015 Vento facelift in India on 23rd of June 2015. The new version of popular mid-segment sedan will come with some significant design upgrades and cosmetic changes that will be seen both on the outside and inside. Though on mechanical front the 2015 Vento will remain unchanged, Volkswagen claims that the new model will be offering an increased fuel efficiency of up to 7.5%.

We reported earlier that Volkswagen will launch the facelifted Vento sedan in the Indian car market in June, 2015. Sources told us that the vehicle will go on sale in the market in the fourth week of this month. This will be the second update for the Vento in less than 1 year. In 2014, the German maker introduced the updated sedan with majority of the changes given to the mechanics. This time, the car recieved a host of changes, new exterior styling and is claimed to be 7.5 per cent more fuel efficienct than the outgoing model.

Volkswagen, the German auto maker had launched the slightly tweaked Vento sedan with a new diesel engine in India last year. This model got a new diesel automatic variant, while the overall profile of the car remained the same. Interestingly, the company is aiming to give a major makeover to the Vento sedan, which is scheduled to go on sale by festive season, 2015. The sedan will get changes to both exterior and interior. The updated sedan has already been spotted in Russia, where it sold as Polo sedan. It is expected to be priced in the range of INR 7.5-11.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). This 2015 Vento sedan will rival against the likes of the Honda City, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the Hyundai Verna, the Nissan Sunny and the Skoda Rapid.
