Tennis champion Venus Williams was born on June 17, 1980, in Lynwood, California, United States, to Richard Williams and Oracene Price. Her birth name is Venus Ebony Starr Williams. She is a professional tennis player since the age of 14 and finds a place in the best and most Grand Slam-winning women's tennis players of all time. Venus Williams' career has been plagued with a wrist injury and a diagnosis of the autoimmune disease Sjogren’s Syndrome in which the moisture-producing glands of the body are affected. She had also taken a break to pursue a course in fashion design and start her own label. Venus Williams showed resilience and bounced back from her injuries to start playing tennis again and winning matches.

Venus and Serena's parents divorced in 2002. Their half-siblings are Yetunde Price, Lyndrea Price, Isha Price, Dylan Starr Williams and Richard Williams III. Yetunde Price died in 2003 when she was shot dead in Compton as a result of gang war. The bullet was apparently intended for her boyfriend, who was driving the car they were in. Yetunde Price was the personal assistant of the Williams Sisters and their cloes confidante. Wimbledon 2017: Venus Williams Beats Johanna Konta, Sets up Finals Clash With Garbine Muguruza.
