The Election Commission said BLAs of all political parties will be given the list of voters removed from voters' list during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, who are either deceased or shifted.

Officials said the Election Commission took the decision to extend the timeline for all phases of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) based on internal discussions with chief electoral officers of states and UTs where the exercise is underway.

CEC Gyanesh Kumar said work is in progress to launch the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in all states and a final decision on its rollout will be taken by the Election Commission.
