XAT paper is divided into four sections namely, Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, GK & Essay. The exam is touted as one of the most difficult exams. The paper has a total of 78 questions in its main part (which include VA, DI, DM). Candidates have a total of 170 minutes to answer these questions. The paper also has 13 choice questions, which means candidates have the option of not answering any of the choice 13 questions. Beyond these 13 questions, however, not attempting the question would result in negative marking of 0.05. Also, incorrect answers also draw a negative score of 0.25 marks. There is however no negative marking for the GK based questions. The number of questions in the GK section has been recently reduced to 25.
