Japanese auto major Yamaha has launched its highly anticipated superbikes YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M in India at INR 22.34 lakh and INR 29.43 lakh respectively (both ex-showroom Delhi). Both the bikes are presently listed as on sale on Yamaha India’s official website. This would come as surprise considering that the R1 has had its own share of fan following, one would have expected to see some noise prior to unveiling the prices on its website.Yamaha claim that both the bikes will be completely new to the market besides the crossplane crankshaft and the legendary R1 name nothing else has been retained from the previous models.
