Chail is a beautiful hill station in north India. It was the summer capital of the princely state of Patiala. Chail is located just about 63 km from Shimla. It is surrounded by the Shivalik range and occupies three hills, Pandewa, Rajgarh and Sadh Tiba. The village covers an area of approximately 72 acres and overlooks the Sutlej valley. After the Maharaja of Patiala, Bhupinder Singh was exiled from Shimla, he moved to Chail and ensured that Chail looks just as stunning as Shimla did. From the greenery to the apple orchards, Chail emereged as one of the most relaxing hill stations in Himachal Pradesh. It also boasts of the world’s highest cricket stadium, the Chail Cricket Ground, Chail Military Scool, Chail palace and the Chail Wildlife Sanctuary that are few of the places to visit in Chail.
