Monica Dogra is one of best-known independent musicians in India. Not only does she have a pretty cool musical career as the lead singer for band Sha’air + Funk, but she has also tried her hands on modelling and acting in movies like Dhobi Ghat and David. Dogra has lived most her life in the US and moved to Mumbai just a few years ago to make it in the music industry. Very recently she was judging a music contest and now, she’ll be featuring in an international docu-series called Woman. (DON’T MISS More Photos) Leaving her career accomplishments aside, what’s left us in awe of this gorgeous woman are her travel pictures. Without much ado, here are some pictures from her travel tales that will definitely spark the wanderlust in you! Doesn’t she look like she absolutely belongs here?

It’s been two years that I’ve been practicing #Ashtanga – admittedly, I am inconsistent with my practice and striving towards developing my own relationship with it instead of being so attached to classes or my teachers. Last year, I was too exhausted to trek to the snow line above #Triund … This year, I made it! Last year, I couldn’t hold a headstand… This year I can hold myself stable for 10 breaths! I guess what I’m saying is, we shy away from things that make us feel insufficient – but even the tallest of trees sprout from seeds! This moment is one I will never forget. Thank you for your guidance @deepikamehtayoga and for being such an inspiring teacher. Thank you @louloudenington for opening up my heart and helping me conquer my fears… #Himalayas #Mountains #India #yoga #HimachalPradesh

The peaceful cottages and pine trees, don’t they remind you of a vacation?

(My major arcana card from #Osho #tarot deck) #BEYONDILLUSION – This is the only distinction between the dream and the real: reality allows you to doubt, and the dream does not allow you to doubt…. To me, the capacity to doubt is one of the greatest blessings to humanity. The religions have been enemies because they have been cutting the very roots of doubt, and there is a reason why they have been doing that: because they want people to believe in certain illusions that they have been preaching…. Why have the people like Gautam Buddha been so insistent that the whole existence–except your witnessing self, except your awareness–is just ephemeral, made of the same stuff as dreams are made of. They are not saying that these trees are not there. They are not saying that these pillars are not there. Don’t misunderstand because of the word “illusion”…. It has been translated as illusion, but illusion is not the right word. Illusion does not exist. Reality exists. Maya is just in between–it almost exists. As far as day-to-day activities are concerned, it can be taken as reality. Only in the ultimate sense, from the peak of your illumination, it becomes unreal, illusory.
