Mexican Rodeo

A big orange food truck that can be seen from a distance, Mexican Rodeo is a new one in the city and is already making news for serving some of the best Mexican delicacies. Its menu consists of everything from Tex-Mex nachos topped with salsa and cheese sauce to spicy tacos. Try their burrito bowl and quesadillas and sides like cheese balls served with dips like tartar sauce, guacamole, sour cream and cheesy parsley. They also have shakes to down these yummy dishes. And if you aren’t really in the mood for authentic Mexican, try their pizzas that are made using tortillas adding a touch of Italian to the food.



Timing: It stays open from 6 pm to 11 pm

Where: Behind Bishops School, Next to Polka Dots, Kalyani Nagar, Pune

Street Meat

If you are a sucker for global fusion dishes, this food truck is for you. Street Meat is on the hip Koregaon Park and aims to bring gourmet flavors right on the streets. Inspired by this, you can find an eclectic mix of food items on their menu that range from wacky to yum. Their signature dishes include dishes like pulled pork brun pao, Thai chicken golgappas and chef’s special rice bowls. They also serve bacon, eggs and chicken. If you love pancakes, you are in luck as they serve them topped with cream, Nutella, maple syrup and all things yum. When here, also try their interesting drinks like Vietnamese lime juice, khus sherbet and roohafza.

Timing: The food truck is open from 12.30 pm to 10.30 pm

Burgertron

Love biting into a juicy burger? Burgertron is one of the best food trucks you should head to when in Pune. Serving about 20 different varieties of burgers, this food truck has options for vegetarians as well as meat lovers. From mushroom and spinach burgers to crab and squid burgers, you will find options that you probably would not find in a restaurant too. The black and yellow food truck is popular for serving classics as well as quirky meals for an affordable price. Add 10 bucks for extra cheese and if you are a party of 12 or just foodies who can gorge on burgers all day, order their burger cake.

Timing: 6 pm to 11 pm

Where: This food truck does not have a fixed location as it moves around the city. Wanowrie is one of their locations.

The Cheese Truck

If you love cheese more than anything in this world, The Cheese Truck is your dream come true. This food truck as the name suggests, serves everything filled with extra cheese. Their options are restricted to sandwiches and subs but it is the cheese that draws a large crowd here. They serve both veg and non-veg varieties and cheese with egg as well. Their speciality is their stoner sandwiches that come in vegan, chicken, Nutella and other flavors. Not just mojito and ice teas, they also stock cigarettes.

Timing: 11 am to 11 pm

Where: Their location varies but you can often spot this food truck in Viman Nagar.

Cost: Rs 250 for two

Indiano Grill

One of the first food trucks in Pune, Indiano Grill will satisfy all your cravings as its menu is extensive and delicious at the same time. From wood-fired pizzas to Pune’s favorite misal pav that can give a tough competition to the best ones in the city. They even serve wraps, burgers and dum biryani, making them a favorite haunt for foodies or large groups where everyone wants to try something different. The options are aplenty to choose from so you won’t be disappointed and leave with a full belly.
