Arguably the most popular lake in Rajasthan, Lake Pichola is an artificial fresh water lake that was crated in the year 1362. Man Sagar Lake, Jaipur
With Nahargarh Hills in the backdrop, Man Sagar Lake is an artificial lake, with the historic Jal Mahal right at its centre. Boating is not allowed on the lake; however, an observation point on its embankment affords a great panoramic view of the area. The lake is a great attraction for bird-waters; most commonly spotted ones are the blue-tailed bee-eaters, grey heron and white-browed wagtail.
Ana Sagar Lake, Ajmer
Spanning over 13 kilometres, Ana Sagar Lake is the biggest artificial lake in Ajmer. It was built around the 12th-century, by Anaji, the grandfather of Prithvi Raj Chauhan.
