According to a report by Time of India, Indias flag carrier airline Air India will soon be introducing a new flight service from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, connecting Pune and Bhopal. The decision regarding the Bhopal-Raipur-Pune flight service was taken in a meeting between Air Indias CMD Ashwin Lohani and Chief Minister Raman Singh. A 72-seater aircraft will be operated by Air India with three days operations. However, the exact schedule, route or the launch date have not been disclosed yet. All possible assistance, including free parking at night, will be provided by Chhattisgarh government to Air India to make this plan a success. An information and booking office will also be established by Air India in Raipur. With this office, traveler will not have to go to the airport for booking tickets or for enquiry. Air India will also introduce a direct flight between Raipur and Delhi. As per the report, the Raipur-Delhi flight will possibly have other onward connections from Delhi to other cities, in and outside India. The new flight service will make your trip to and from the state easier. Chhattisgarh is one of the fast-developing state.
