Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was last seen in Jazba depicting the role of a single mother and lawyer, is currently in Punjab shooting for her film Sarabjit, a biopic on the Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh where she plays his sister. The actress recently paid a visit to the Golden Temple or Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar with her daughter Aaradhya, her mother Krishna Rai and a few relatives. The gurudwara is considered to be one of the holiest places of worship for Sikhs all around the world, designed by the fifth guru, Guru Arjan. It is called the Golden Temple because its upper half is covered in gold. Inside you will find the Adi Granth which is the holy scripture that Sikhs worship. The Golden Temple is in the middle of a holy tank and you have to cover your head before you enter it and wash your hands and feet in this holy pool. Over a lakh people visit the gurudwara every day from different walks of life and of all religions. After their prayers, they can have a free meal called the langar at the gurudwara premises.
