December is all about rounding up the best and the worst of the year that will soon come to an end and with a handful of days left to welcome 2017, we have some of the best things in travel from 2016. While sightseeing and eating local delicacies are two important aspects of exploring the destination, for many, the stay is equally important. And luxury hotels around the world leave no stone unturned to woo patrons to book a stay with them. However, according to 2016s World Travel Awards, the best hotel suite is awarded to the Katara Suite in the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan, Italy. This is the second time in a row that this title has been bestowed upon this suite and rightly so as it is clearly one of the most opulent suites in the world. For starters, a night here costs a whopping GBP 17,000 that converts to roughly Rs 14,00,000 per night. Take a look at this massive suite and the luxuries it has to offer to those who can splurge their wealth. Keeping their hi-profile guests in mind, there is a private lift that opens directly into the suite as they expect head of states and celebrities to visit who need ample privacy. The suite has two terraces, one which is has dining space and the other where you can sunbathe.
The private spa has a sauna, a Turkish bath and a hot tub. It is shaped like a pagoda.
