These beaches across the country vary in their appearance, weather and lifestyle. Some beaches like the popular ones in Goa are major party destinations while some are clean and pristine havens for a quiet time. Some are adjacent to sleepy fishing villages while others are close to major global and financial centers. No matter which beach in India you visit, you are in for a treat. It is a myth that beaches are not ideal places to visit during the rains. The fact is, as long as you stay away from the heavy currents, beaches can be great surprises during monsoon. Palolem in Goa

Located just a little trek away from the popular Gokarna beach, the Kudle beach is worth a visit for its clean, golden sand and alluring landscape. During the monsoon, this beach surrounded by greenery will provide a welcome respite from the urban hustle bustle. You can also visit the nearby Gokarna temples to make a day out of your getaway.

And then there is the famous Vagator beach located right next to the Chapora ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ fort. Perhaps one of the most scenic beaches in Goa, Vagator provides a breathtaking view of cloudy skies, lovely palm trees, gushing waves and mesmerizing sunsets (when they are not covered by clouds of course). Vagator is also one of the most culturally active places of north Goa with a number os restaurants, pubs and clubs located in or around it.

It makes for a good picnic spot ideal for rejuvenating walks.
