Bus to Leh

Bus service from New Delhi to Leh has restarted for the season. An official of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) said that the bus service will play every day to and from Delhi and Leh via Manali from Monday, June 13. The one-way fare on the route is Rs 1,365 and the bus will cover a distance of 1,050 km from Delhi to Leh in Ladakh with no overnight stops in 33 hours. The one-way fare on this route is Rs 1,365. The Delhi-Leh route passes through four mountain passes and remains under snow between October and May. A separate bus service connecting Manali and Leh will restart for the season on July 1. It will leave Manali at 11 am on every alternate days and will arrive Leh the next day in the evening. The distance of 475 km will be covered with an overnight halt at Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district from where it will leave at 4 am. The one-way fare for this trip, though shorter, is Rs 2700 as it includes the overnight stay, dinner and breakfast. At Keylong, passengers will spend the night at a camping site which has been developed for this express purpose.
