We live in a country where public display of affection is not just frowned upon, but also met with harsh and extreme actions. Every place has its own culture and should be respected. It is only reasonable (and sensible) to expect that the sentiments of locals and their beliefs be taken into consideration when you visit their homeland. So, keeping in mind the safety of couples who like to feel free and do not want shackles binding their passion for each other, we give you the best places where you are less likely to turn heads while you get cosy with your loved one. Please do note that that public display of affection is generally looked down upon. And while the law doesn’t specifically prohibit it, Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code allows imprisonment up to three months or a fine or both in case of causing annoyance to others through ‘obscene acts’. The phrase obscene act isn’t defined by law and hence is open to interpretation and the law can be misused. Also Read - Must Visit: Not All Beaches Are as Interesting as These 5 in Diu!

4. Triund, Himachal Pradesh

Just a three-hour trek from Mcleod Ganj in Himachal Pradesh, Triund is actually a popular trekking destination. The number of people visiting this amazing spot amidst the clouds has increased over the years. However, not many people stay for the night as it gets really cold. 5. Revdanda Beach, Maharashtra

Revdanda near Alibaug is often the venue for several camps during major events like the New Year. Tents are available on rent and mostly couples attend these events. 6. Khuri Desert, Rajasthan

And then there is the Khuri desert located 50 km from Jaisalmer. This can be more romantic than you can imagine. A camel ride takes you to the middle of the desert where you can witness the most stunning sunset of your life. As the sky changes from blue to orange, your heart starts warming up and you start feeling the love. By the time it’s dark, the riders cook you a great local meal which you can enjoy with any liquor that you are carrying. They then set up your bed in the sand as per your preference and move away to a distance where they tie the camels and set up their own beds making sure you have enough privacy. After this, it is just the wide cold desert, the open sky full of stars above your head and two thick rugs to keep you warm. It is up to you how you want to make the best of it!
