Anyone who has been to the Vagator beach in Goa will be familiar with the Greek taverna ‘Thalassa’. Perched on the edge of a high cliff in the Small Vagator village, Thalassa offers breathtaking sunset views. But it’s not the views that have made Thalassa one of the most popular restaurants in Goa. It is the lip-smacking food! From its delicious kebabs to its stuffed calamiris, Thalassa’s food is to die for! For ten years, Thalassa has been the pride of Vagator. Three years ago, Thalassa did have a stint as a pop-up restaurant in Mumbai’s Olive Bar & Kitchen at Mahalaxmi. But now, it has opened its second outpost in the country. Owner and head chef Mariketty Grana, who is known for her signature lamb gyros,  is excited about this new venture and so are all the fans of this restaurant often considered Goa’s hottest! The Mumbai space retains its Goa characteristics with the turquoise and chalky white decor, vintage keys and mirrors on the walls. Thalassa’s signature Greek lamb kebabs.which are delicately flavoured with mint, dill and parsley, will remind you of Athens. Thalassa is a pleasant lunch spot with a nice and breezy ambiance. During the evening, it tranfsforms into a dreamy date place with music and the occasional Greek dancers. Beyond the dining al fresco, there is a secret, underground after-party room with a personal bar!
