Looks like India is all set to have internet connectivity at every stop. It started at railway stations with Mumbai Central being the first one to get free WiFi and Bhubaneswar the second one among the list of 100 stations that’ll get free Wi-Fi in 2016. And now, Golden Temple in Punjab which is one of the most pious places of worship for Sikhs, also has free WiFi. The internet access is available in the temple complex and the surrounding peripheral area but not inside the sanctum sanctorum. Devotees visiting Harmandir Sahib will be able to use the free WiFi provided by Videocon not just at the Golden Temple, but also at the guest houses run by SGPC. Pilgrims often stay here when they visit the Golden Temple so they too can make use of the free WiFi. Other offices run by the SGPC too will have WiFi connectivity. The Golden Temple in Amritsar is one of the most sacred places for people of the Sikh community. It is known for its architecture and also for its langar where people can eat free food made inside the temple complex every day. People of any faith can visit this gurudwara.
