Google is back with a new app that will make planning a trip much easier. According to a GoodThink study, 74 per cent of travelers find planning and figuring out details of a trip to be the most stressful part of a vacation. The Google Trips app provides a solution to this problem by doing the job for you on your smartphone. The app lets one plan each day of their trip based on one’s interests and budget. Each vacation has a few set categories like day plans, getting around, food and drink, things to do and more. For top 200 cities in the world, the app gives you popular day itineraries that help you visit the most famous parts of the city in a day. And if you have different interests, you can change the plan as per your liking. It also give you the option of finding things to do around a specific popular sightseeing attraction. This helps people who do not have the full day and rather just the morning or noon to visit a few places nearby. One of the best things about the Google Trips app is that it is downloadable and you don’t need WiFi to access your itineraries, etc once you have saved and downloaded it. This makes it easier to use it in a new place without a net connection on your phone. The app also saves your flight and hotel reservation bookings from your Gmail account in one place. This helps organize things better. The apps’ ‘need to know’ tab gives you important emergency numbers among other things while the ‘magic wand’ is another cool feature that discovers more things for you in a specific area. The app uses data from other users and travelers to create its recommendation and plans. And while it works just fine for most popular vacation spots, you may not find too many things for offbeat places at least for now. We hope Google Trips adds more data soon making travel planning hassle-free to even remote destinations in the world. Google Trips is currently available on Android on iOS.
