The change in the visa-free entry to Hong Kong means Indians planning to go there need to apply for a pre-arrival registration online. Once they successfully complete it, they can enter Hong Kong with their passport. The move is to reduce the number of asylum seekers who come from India. Asylum seekers are people who leave their home country to seek asylum in another one. The number of Indians seeking asylum in Hong Kong is on the rise as the country offers food and stay facilities free of cost until their asylum request is processed. This move is to curb this number from India.

But if you plan to explore the country, you will have to fill the form online before your journey. While there are several countries where Indians need a visa to enter, there are many others that do not require a visa or give Indians visa on arrival.
