Agra is one of the busiest towns in the state of Uttar Pradesh, thanks to the fact that it houses the mausoleum of love, Taj Mahal. Here is how you get to this historic city.

By Air

Agra airport which is well connected to all major cities in the nation, is about 12.5 kilometres away from the main city.

By Rail

Agra Cantonment is the main railhead which lies to the southwest of Taj Mahal and Agra fort. Take an auto rickshaw, taxi or the traditional cycle rickshaw to go from railway station to main city centre. Though this station is connected to all main cities, you will find that trains going towards the eastern routes are more in number.

You will also get a tour package of the famed luxury royal train Palace on Wheels from Agra.

By road

Major bus stands in Agra are: Idgah Bus Stand, Taj Depot, and Inter State Bus Terminal. Highway NH2 connects Agra and Delhi and NH 11 connects Agra to Jaipur. NH3 connects Agra to Jaipur and Mumbai.
