There are plenty of haunted places in India that can give you goosebumps but if you thought these were all old, dilapidated buildings, you are wrong. Many structures that are thriving with people fall under the haunted category. Many residential buildings, as well as offices, are haunted and even though the people who live or work here know about it, they continue to go about their business and learn to live with it. Pune too has its share of spooky places. The Sinhagad Fort which is a popular tourist attraction is believed to be haunted. So is the Shaniwar Wada that was once home to Bajirao. Chandan Nagar is perhaps one of the scariest places in Pune where no one dares to go at night. Victory Theatre is another one that adds to the list of haunted places in Pune. This theatre is a single-screen one that has its old-world charm of rickety seats and stall and balcony seating. Victory Theatre is still up and running because of this feature but what really makes this place unique is the fact that it is haunted. Not just the theatre, the building that houses it is believed to be haunted and employees and locals have experienced strange things here. Mostly things take place at night at unearthly hours when the theatre is empty. You can hear seats rambling or banging when there is no one around. Shrieks of laughter and other voices can be heard when there is no one in the vicinity. Sometimes these take place during a movie show too. And no, not when there is a haunted movie playing, things have happened even during a romantic Bollywood film. There isn’t much information on what really happened here for the place to be haunted but many who have been here can vouch for its spookiness.
