Airlines often come up with sales and offers that promise to lower your flying cost and give you the best deal possible. And keeping up with the trend, Indigo has come up with two new fare types that will benefit flyers by reducing their airfare cost. These two types are: Lite Fare and Flexible Fare. Both these promise to reduce your flight ticket price and at the same time benefit the airline too, making it a win-win deal for all. Indigo has come up with an innovative way by introducing these deals to flyers who travel light and others who need extra legroom and make other changes to their seat selection. Here’s what these two fare types have in store for you. Also Read - Unlock 1 in Haryana: Faridabad to Follow Existing Guidelines For Now, New Directions Tomorrow

According to Indigo’s website, the Lite Fare is a handbag only fare and perfect for people who do not pack much. It rewards them by giving them cheaper, more affordable fares for flying light. To avail this fare, you only have to carry  a hand luggage, not more than 7 kg. The fare is applicable only on domestic flights and is not available on connections as of now. Your date of travel has to be 15 days prior to your travel date for you to avail this fare type. In case you are over the allowed limit, you will have to shell out a change fee of Rs 2250 or airfare charges, whichever is lower of the two. The Flexible Fare offers the option of modifying your flight as many times as you wish (subject to availability, of course) for no extra cost. You can also pick and change your seats unlimited times and get ones with extra legroom. This is mostly targeted at business travelers who want to make changes at the last minute and need their comfort on a long flight. The fare type is available on both domestic and international flights but not on connections. There will be no change fee levied but it does have cancellation charges of Rs 2250 on domestic and Rs 2550 on international or the airfare charges, whichever is lower.
