For anyone who’s travelled to Gangtok, the capital of  Sikkim till now has had to take a flight to Bagdogra Airport which is about 125 kms or roughly 4 hours drive from Gangtok. So, the inauguration of Pakyong Airport, Sikkim’s first airport, about 33 kms from Gangtok is great news for travellers. For those who’ve wanted to visit the beautiful state of Sikkim but have been putting it off due to its inaccessibility by flight, and in for a treat.
