Real-time updates via chat

Often, especially during the monsoon season, trains get delayed due to water logging on tracks or other unforeseen circumstances. You cannot rely on the news channels to give you real time updates on all such events. It is the people living in the area who are best equipped to give you accurate, real-time info. Most of these people make use of the chat option on m-Indicator to keep others updated. DO SEE Halle Berry is in Mumbai, and Nobody Noticed

Metro, Mono-rail and Ferry timetable

The Mumbai metro has come as a blessing for people who travel in the Ghatkopar-Versova route. Before the metro came along, the route was one of the most dreaded ones in the city as it was always subject to heavy vehicular traffic. “The land where time stands still”, they used to call it. Now, thanks to the Metro, travel on the route has become extremely convenient but it is important to know the time table so that you don’t end up missing the last train. M-Indicator provides you with the Metro as well as the mono-rail time table. Not many people know that you can take a ferry from Mumbai to Alibaug, instead of the slightly congested road route. Not just to Alibaug, you can take a ferry to Essel world, Elephanta caves and several other small ports near Mumbai. M-Indicator gives you a detailed ferry time table that you can use to make sure you do not waste any time.

People often fear that they will get duped in the city of Mumbai by rickshaw and taxi drivers who take you for a ride (pun intended). M-Indicator keeps you updated with auto-rickshaw and taxi fares so that you always know what’s going on. CHECK OUT 15 Reasons why Mumbai is the Best City in India

Women safety feature

Safety is a major concern among women travelers and m-Indicator has done well to address it. Launched by the former Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu himself, the women’s safety feature on m-Indicator enables women to send an SMS and get help from the Railway Protection force. The app doesn’t use the Internet to send the passenger’s location as it comes with an automatic location alert facility. All that the passenger needs to do is hit the safety icon, which will have two emergency contact numbers saved who will receive the approximate location.

M-Indicator is truly one of the best things to have happened to Mumbai in recent times. Download and use it for a few days and we bet you will be addicted to it.
