Started as a pilot project by the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), this initiative is currently held only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Called the ‘comforting angels’, these dogs have been trained at the Animal Angels Therapy Centre in Pune to sense a person’s mood by sniffing them. According to therapists, playing and interacting with a pet can help release the hormone oxytocin that helps calm people down and relax.
