Railways are the lifeline of transport in India. Millions of people take the train on a daily basis to get from home to work, or to take trips across the country. As such, it is essential that new services keep getting introduced in addition to good maintenance of existing ones. To that effect, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off a new, bi-weekly, all-electric Humasafar Express today. This train will connect Katihar to New Delhi. Reportedly, the PM will also launch launch electrification work of Motihari-Muzaffarpur rail line and doubling of Muzaffarpur-Narkatiyaganj railway track.
