The breath-taking Amboli looks its best during the monsoon (June to August) as it brings alive the many waterfalls that dot the region. On your way to Bada Dabdaba, you will find many waterfalls of varying magnitudes. Another gorgeous fall around 10km away from Amboli is the Nangarta Falls, which falls into a narrow gorge from a height of 40ft. For the most romantic sightseeing experience ever, head to Sunset Point where the sun slowly goes down and the sky gets painted in different hues of orange and red. The Sunset Point is only a kilometre away from the main bus stand, therefore making for a convenient stop-over. And if you are an adventure junkie, then going for the Durg Dhakoba Trek is highly recommended. Durg and Dhakoba are two prominent peaks on the plateau between Naneghat and Bhimashankar Hills. Located at 3,900 and 4,100 feet respectively, they offer impressive views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Amboli is easily accessible from Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. The nearest airports are the Dabolim Airport in Goa about 57km away and the Sambre Airport in Belgaum about 70km away.
