Connecting the island of Averøy with the Romsdalshalvøya peninsula, the Atlantic road is an 8.3 km long road in the midwest region of the Norwegian coastline which is renowned for its spectacular beauty as well as challenging route. It passes by Hustadvika which is an un-sheltered part of the Norwegian Sea and also takes you through quite a few islands, causeways and bridges. As you drive on this road, you are constantly hit by gushing waves from the ocean causing you to keep your windshield wipers on at all times. Several parts of the route are so beautiful that people often stop by to click pictures. However, other parts are so scary that you would rather just get done with it than stop for a photograph.
