Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary

The rich, dense forests of Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary are home to various wild animals including the tiger, leopard, jackal, Himalayan black bear, Indian porcupine, wild dog and many more. Some of the reptiles frequently seen include the Himalayan cat snake, cobra and python. The sanctuary also has a wide range of herbs, shrubs, flowers and plants as well as some of the most beautiful natural lakes including Mehao Lake and Sally Lake. A trek through this park should be at the top of an adventure enthusiast’s list.


A feast to the eyes, Nijomaghat is a nature lovers delight. Situated 15km from Roing, the highlight of Nijomaghat is its lush greenery, majestic mountains and the beautiful river flowing through them. The ferry ride from here to Dambuk is highly recommended for a timeless experience.
