Introduced by Abhimanyu Alsisar in the year 2014, the annual festival at Alsisar is ready for its sixth edition. Almost like a surreal dream; the event is a feast to the senses because this is perhaps the only festival in the country that allows you to live the royal life by spending three days in an opulent palace or a luxurious camp under Rajasthan’s beautiful, wintry, starry night. The mahal especially, with all its intricate walls, splendid interiors, antique furniture and carved poster beds, will stay with you even long after you’ve gone. Also Read - Horrific! Magnetic Fields is actually a unique marriage of contemporary culture and Rajasthani heritage and folklore. International artists present music that is far removed from the colorful folk tunes of Rajasthan, making the contrast even more special.
The expansive courtyards with quaint lawns, take you back in time and are perfect for hosting a lot of other things during the 3-day festival: like dancing under the stars, star gazing, wellness and yoga and exciting treasure hunts. You can also fly kites on the rooftop of this glorious fort and enjoy some incredible cuisine in the most decadent and luxurious way possible.
You could club the festival with some historic and cultural attractions a stone’s throw away: Morarka Museum, Nadine Haveli, Dr Poddar Haveli Museum, Jhunjhunwala Haveli, Step well complex, Family cenotaphs, Laxmi Narayan temple and Khetri Mahal are places worth exploring.
