Sidh Baba Ka Mandir is situated on a hill between Pandhawa and Rajgarh. Dedicated Sidh Baba, the temple is an important religious site in Chail. For local people of Chail, the temple is the protector of Chail’s success. The holy shrine was built by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh in 1891 at a place that was initially marked for his palace.
There are several stories associated with the construction of the temple. Some believe that Maharaja Bhupinder Singh wanted to construct a palace at the place where the temple is located presently. However, the construction of the palace could not be finished even after several attempts. Sidh Baba came in Bhupinder Singh’s dream and told the king that the place was used by him for meditation and he was cremated there. The saint also informed the king that the hill is pious and is not appropriate for residential purpose. Hence, Bhupinder Singh built Sidh Baba Ka Mandir to honour the saint. A large number of tourists and devotees visit the temple that boasts of picturesque surrounding and tranquil ambience.
