Also known as Motrop and the Pillar Rock, Khoh Ramhah is a massive rock formation that looks like a giant cone. In the local language, Khoh Ramhah means ‘basket of the giant’. The ancestors of the locals in Cherrapunji believe that the stone which resembles a basket was carried by a giant. As per the legends, this rock is a fossilized basket, which belonged to an evil spirit.

The waterfalls along with the clouds floating past the rock make this place enchanting. It is an ideal spot for picnic. The rock offers a spectacular view of the Sylhet plains of Bangladesh. You can also see the winding roads of Cherrapunji.
