Drukpa Teshi is another festival which is celebrated with much fervor during August-September. This festival is observed by the Buddhists to mark the event of Buddha turning the Wheel of Dharma for the first time, which means his first sermon to five disciples at Sarnath. An annual fair is also held in September on the banks of Dal Lake which attracts quite a large number of tourists.
