Located about 65 km from Guwahati at the foot of the Garo hills is the Chandubi Lake. The lake is located at the foot of Garo hills spread between Assam and Meghalaya. It was formed as a result of the 1897 earthquake in Assam. Surrounded by deep forests, small villages, and mesmerizing tea gardens, Chandubi lake is considered an ideal spot for a picnic amidst nature.

You can access the lake via National Highway 37. As you heasd towards the airport from Guwahati, you need to turn towards the Dakshin Kamrup college and then reach Chandubi via Barihat and Loharghat. You can go fishing or take boat rides to enjoy the scenic beauty and calm ambiance of this place.
