Jaipur is the state capital of Rajasthan and one of the major stops in India's popular Golden Triangle route for tourists besides Delhi and Agra. The city that has historical monuments at every other corner is a must-visit. Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and City Palace are three of the most important monuments (and all three built in the 18th century within a span of 70 years) in Jaipur that are located at a stone's throw distance from each other. South of these iconic monuments is another one -- the Albert Hall Museum that is a fine reflection of the state's heritage. Located on the outskirts of the city is Nahargarh Fort where portions of the 2006 hit film Rang De Basanti were shot and one that offers breathtaking views of the city it was built to protect. Further up north from Nahargarh Fort is the iconic Jal Mahal. Travel along the same road for a few more kilometers and you will lay your eyes on the majestic Amber Fort. This map of Jaipur will help you plan your trip in and around the city.
