Elephant Festival is celebrated in Jaipur City, Rajasthan. It is an annual festival held on the day of Holi, which generals falls in February or March. For the celebration, elephants are decked up with jewellery, brocade scarves, jhools and the most vibrant colours. Elephants are not only a symbol of royalty in Rajasthan but are also considered sacred. On the occasion of Holi, elephant polo, elephant race and tug-of-war feature as a part of the procession.
