Marwar Festival in Jodhpur is the most popular festival of the city. It is held every year in remembrance of the heroes of Rajasthan. It was initially known as the Maand Festival. The festival is held during the months of September and October. This festival is celebrated during the full moon of Sharad Purnima and goes on for two days.The main appeal of this festival is the folk music revolving around the love for the lives of Rajasthan’s monarchs. The music and dance of the Marwar region is the core theme of this festival. Among other draws at the festival, are the camel tattoo show and polo. The location of this festival includes the renowned Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mandore and Mehrangarh Fort.
