Animals found in Panna include the Royal Bengal tiger, leopard, chital, sambhar, chinkara, nilgai, and sloth bear. Panna is also home to around 200 bird species including honey buzzard, king vulture, bar-headed goose, and blossom-headed parakeet. Currently, after several reports of tiger population decline and poaching in the region, there are four tigers and around 10 cubs in the Panna Tiger reserve.
