Place Details:
One of the historical places in Mohali, the place became sacred after Guru Har Rai, the seventh guru of Sikhs, visited. The name of the site ‘Amb’ is derived from Punjabi, which means mangoes. It is believed that Guru Har Rai performed a miracle and grew a mango tree in the gurudwara, so that Bhai Kooram could serve mangoes to his guru. Today, the tree still exists. An annual fair is held every, where mangoes are distributed as prasad.
