The Bandra-Worli Sea Link is actually named Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link and is built over the Arabian Sea. Construction of the sea link was started in 2000 and was completed only in 2010. The bridge connects the western suburb of Bandra to the centre of the city, Worli. The sea link is one of the most magnificent assets of infrastructure not only in Mumbai but all around the country. The sea link has reduced commutation time from close to 90 minutes to as less as 20 to 25 minutes.
Did you know these cool facts about the Bandra-Worli sea link
Till 2010, the only way to travel to any part of the town was via the Mahim Causeway. However, the use of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link has not only made commutation easy, but it has also added another gem to the the city’s horizon. The view of the sea link especially from the Worli sea face and the Bandra Fort is simply breathtaking. You can probably sit by either of these places to enjoy the sunset, just like one would at Marine Drive, bandstand or Carter Road in Bandra.
