Dedicated to Sun god, the temple’s architectural splendour is a major tourist attraction apart from being an important pilgrimage site. The main temple does not have any idol. There are small shrines dedicated to Ganesha, Balaram, Vishnu and Mahishasurmardini. Constructed in the 10th century, it is quite similar to the Sun Temple at Ranakpur. The temple has erotic images.
