Scuba diving is one the main attractions in Tarkarli among the tourists. Tarkarli is among few places in India where scuba diving is available. Swimming and snorkeling is also the activity included with scuba diving. Scuba diving in the coral reefs of Maharashtra was initially put forth by MTDC as a primary site. Snorkeling was the water-sport introduced initially in Tarkarli, scuba diving was started later.
