Ghaziabad SHOCKER! Madrasa Cleric Accused Of Sodomizing 13-Yr-Old Boy; Arrested

A Maulvi (cleric) was arrested for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old boy at a Ghaziabad Madrasa, the police said on Wednesday.

In a shocking case of pedophilia, a Madrasa cleric was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old boy under his tutelage at the institution. According to reports, the accused Maulvi (cleric), identified as Saqib, sexually assaulted the boy for over 3 months at the Madrasa.

The matter came to light when the 13-year-old student, who lived at the Madrasa, narrated the ordeal to his parents and refused to return to the institution, following which the boy’s father approached the police and lodged a complaint against the cleric.

As per the father’s complaint, the accused, Saqib, a resident of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, would call students, including the victim, to his quarters at night where he sexually abused them.

A senior official said that Saqib has been arrested and case registered against him under relevant sections of the law.

“The police have arrested the teacher for sodomizing his 13-year-old student who was living inside the madrasa for study for the past several months,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Ankur Vihar) Bhaskar Verma told news agency PTI.

“A complaint was lodged by the father of the student on Tuesday in which he alleged that the student was forced by the teacher to sleep with him in his room. The teacher had also threatened the boy of assault in case he revealed his activities to anyone else,” the ACP said.

On Monday, the traumatised boy somehow managed to narrate his ordeal to his father, who in turn approached the police and a case was lodged, leading to the teacher’s arrest, Verma said, adding that further investigation in the case is underway.

10-year-old Indore boy sodomised by Madrasa staffer

The case bears eerie similarities to a similar one which surfaced in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore last month where a 10-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised and assaulted in a madrasa by a 20-year-old staffer.

As per the police, the incident took place on August 2, when the child, a student at the madrasa falling under the Badgonda police station official limits, was sexually abused by the staffer after lunch.

They said that the accused also thrashed the boy and threatened to kill him if he told anyone about the abuse.
