Siddharthanagar: Tension gripped Igata Village, which falls under Khasra Police Station, after an ancient idol of Lord Shiva was found desecrated in a Shiva Temple on Thursday morning. According to Siddharthanagar Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh, some unidentified miscreants vandalized an ancient Shiva idol in Igata village early morning. She said that an FIR has been lodged and five teams have been formed to nab the accused persons.

On miscreants vandalise idols at ancient Shiva temple, SP Siddharthanagar Prachi Singh says, “…After receiving information, police station circle in-charge, DM and I did the inspection. Criminal elements have vandalised the idols…FIR is also getting registered. We have put 5 teams…And whoever has committed this, we will make sure that exemplary action is taken,” ANI quoted SP Singh as saying.
