Noida Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Eight constituencies are going to polls in second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections in Noida on Friday. Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad are the prominent constituencies where polling is happening in the second phase. Security has been beefed up in both districts of Uttar Pradesh bordering Delhi as the voters would exercise their franchise on April 26. In Ghaziabad, BJP Atul Garg is facing Congress’s Dolly Sharma and Nandkishore Pundhir of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
Noida Lok Sabha Elections 2024: What’s Closed Today
Because of the second phase of elections, schools and colleges in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida and Greater Noida, will remain closed on Friday.
Issuing an order, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma said educational institutions will remain open on Saturday and function normally.
Factories and industries will remain shut and will provide paid holidays to workers on Friday to facilitate voting.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration imposed a 48-hour ban on the sale of liquor, starting from 6 pm on Wednesday until 6 pm on Friday.
Liquor outlets and vendors across the district will remain shut today.

Shopping malls in Noida will remain open (including DLF Mall of India).
The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) said nearly 50 restaurants in Noida will offer a 20% discount to those who show their inked fingers within 24 hours after casting their vote.
Stock markets will remain open on April 26. The NSE has said that it will be closed on May 20 when voting will be held in Mumbai.
Various hospitals are extending a complimentary health checkup to those who have cast their ballots.
