Noida Water Crisis: Along with water shortage, the rise in temperatures has made matters worse. Many areas in Greater Noida reported water pipe leaks that have led to a suspension of the Ganga water supply.

Water Crisis Hits Gurugram.

Noida Water Crisis: After Bengaluru, water crisis has now hit Noida and Greater Noida as several residential societies are hiring water tankers for help. According to a TOI report, the Eldeco Aamantran Society in Noida has started hiring private water tankers for the last five days to meet the daily needs of drinking water.

Water Crisis: Swimming Pools Shut In Noida

Apart from this, several other housing societies of 100x sectors have shut down their swimming pools amid water crisis. The development comes as some parts of Noida and Greater Noida have been reporting water shortages since last week. In the meantime, some sectors complained of low water pressure and dirty water supply, taps have run dry in others.

Water Pipe Leaks in Several Areas

Along with water shortage, the rise in temperatures has made matters worse. Many areas in Greater Noida reported water pipe leaks that have led to a suspension of the Ganga water supply.

Nikhil Singhal, president of Noida High Rise Federation (NHRF) 100x sectors, told TOI that over 5000 residents are facing water crisis and they have been forced to get water from private tankers.

According to Singhal, low water pressure has made the situation more worse for residents to fill their tanks, which forced them to call for tankers on daily basis.

Sushil Kumar Sharma, RWA President of Udyog Vihar LIG Flats in Noida, told TOI that the official site of Noida Jal (online or App) was not working, and residents could not raise complaints. The other sectors that face water crisis include 71, 72, 62, 19, 20, 121 and more.

Water Crisis Hits Greater Noida

Just like Noida, Greater Noida is also facing water shortage and the residents of Sector 3, Laxman Singh Chamyal, reported a broken pipeline near B 137 that has been wasting water for a week.

Apart from this, there were complaints of pipeline leakage from Sector Sigma 2 and Sector Eta 1 and low-pressure supply from Sector Gamma 2.
