The hidden camera at Engineering College was reportedly used to record videos that were shared among students in the boys’ hostel while the police have arrested a final-year engineering student in connection with this incident, and they are currently investigating the case.
On Thursday evening, a group of female students found a hidden camera in their washroom at SR Gudlavalleru Engineering College. This discovery caused immediate alarm and distress among the students, as reported by NDTV.
The discovery of the hidden camera led to chaos at the college. Students quickly organized a protest that began around 7 p.m. and lasted into Friday morning. They chanted “We want justice” throughout the campus, demanding answers and accountability for the incident.
Meanwhile, The police are still investigating the case to find out if other students were involved in setting up the camera and sharing the videos. The investigation is ongoing.
Reports say that over 300 photos and videos from the women’s hostel washroom were leaked. Some students are said to have bought these videos from a student who is currently being questioned by the police.
