Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is reportedly dead after his helicopter crashed near near Iran’s border with Azerbaijan, along with him Foreign Minister Hossein was also on board when the helicopter made a hard landing and currently the whole world is mourning with Iran.
The crash has sparked concerns worldwide, the social media is flooded with posts from world leaders, critics of the Islamic Republic, and its supporters.
Firstly talking about India then Iran and India have been friends for a long time, maintaining their relationship, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted to X his deep concern over reports of the helicopter crash and said he prays for the Iranian president and his entourage.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s president also expressed their heartfelt prayers & good wishes for the well-being & safety of President Raisi.
With this, Armenia being close ally of Iran offered it’s necessary support and help. Along with there three nations Azerbaijan also expressed their concern. While, President Raisi’s death has sent shockwaves across the world, few are mourining but few are shockingly celebrating this unfortunate death.
Some people who support the government prayed for Raisi, but some people who don’t like the Islamic Republic felt happy when Raisi’s death news was confirmed.
Many social media users critical of the Iranian regime, posted videos of fireworks in Iran, A well-known human rights activist named Masih Alinejad shared a video on [platform X] showing the daughters of Minoo Majidi. She was a 62-year-old woman who died during protests in September 2022 in Iran. In the video, Minoo Majidi’s daughters are seen raising their glasses in celebration of the news.
Human rights advocate Nazanin said that many Iranians see this as “karmic justice” because he was involved in the execution of thousands of political prisoners in 1988. He is often called the “butcher of Tehran” because of this.
Moreover, A popular anchor with Israeli media, Emily, tweeted that the incident involving Iran’s President could lead to another massive uprising in Iran.
Since the world has mixed reaction of Raisi’s death, it is unfortunate that the world has lost a very prominent leader of Iran, now it is just matter of time when we get to know what will be the consequences of this death.
